Why it's ok to have a cheat day this Easter

8331886620

As with most holidays, Easter revolves around eating treats. You might be worried that the odd easter egg is going to ruin all your hard work but in moderation, a sweet treat can be a good thing!

Along with relaxing with family and friends, the occasional reward (or ‘cheat meal’) helps to keep your motivation up so why not enjoy an Easter Egg as a treat?

Remember the 80:20 rule, Easter is a great time to take advantage of the 20%! That doesn’t mean slacking off all together though, Easter offers the perfect time to get in an extended training session, which should be arranged around any family events allowing you to both enjoy the holiday but also keep on track with your training and earn those eggs!

Make sure you’re supporting your extended training with Athlete Performance’s Ultra Endurance creams – helping you to get the most from your training so you can kick back and enjoy the Easter festivities knowing you’re still on track with your performance goals.

Too many sweet treats, especially chocolate can have a detrimental effect on multiple facets of your health so remember to be sensible with your chocolate consumption and stick to the 80:20 rule!
