About the Role

We are looking for an IT Systems and Support Technician to be responsible for a broad range of system related activities spanning the areas of software execution and hardware functionality within our Distribution Centre. The overall objective is to successfully manage the systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of transactions relating to stock and to be responsible for supporting system users in resolving hardware issues

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring system and process transactions for best practice to ensure that the systems do not incur inappropriate stock discrepancies. 
  • Checking for accuracy and completion the status of completed system transactions from across the business that impact the DC and carry out intervention when required.
  • Monitor all stock transfer activity (both internally and externally) within the system for adherence to system design and carry out intervention when required.
  • Initiate and implement system developments and enhancements including the training of end users.
  • Developing reports supporting different areas of the business
  • Resolving hardware issues for users within the Distribution Centre

What we’re looking for

Must-haves

  • Knowledge and first-hand experience of working with WMS/ERP systems. 
  • Experience using SAP B1 would be advantageous.
  • Experience of using databased systems and employing SQL within a logistics environment
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Highly IT literate with strong Excel skills
  • Ability to drive change and influence decision making
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and motivate
  • Must be able to demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience of providing IT hardware support
