We’re looking for a proactive, self-motivated and analytical Merchandiser & Demand Planner to join our dynamic fast-growing brand. This is an exciting new position within a small company reporting to the Operations Director and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the role.


About the role

As the business continues to grow there is a need for a dedicated Merchandiser & Demand Planner. The key responsibilities of this role will be:

Key responsibilities

  • Provide merchandising for wholesale ecommerce and marketplaces
  • The role contributes to all aspects of the product life cycle, from SKU and category planning, rolling up spend, through to getting stock delivered into our warehouse to clearing stock out of the business
  • Create and shape ongoing forecasts and challenge where appropriate
  • Prepare forecast data and stock buy details for sign off meetings
  • Manage stock levels across 3 territories
  • Working with the production and procurement team to produce optimal buys, delivery splits and priorities, ensuring key lines are never out of stock
  • In-season trading to ensure that all categories are performing at optimum levels, re-forecasting sales, constantly monitoring intake, OTB position, & terminal stocks across the business
  • Monitor promotional activities and highlight variances where they differ from the sales forecast
  • Continue supporting development of stock systems and forecasting methods to continually improve accuracy across the business
  • Manage sell through on delisted & dated product


What we’re looking for


  • Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
  • Proven working experience of stock management
  • Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of the business affecting the forecast process
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to interpret market trends
  • Supply chain management

  • Mathematical skills
  • Organisational skills
  • A high level of Excel knowledge with the ability to analyse and manipulate data quickly and an attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
