Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Head of Product Design to help design and develop new products as well as update and improve existing products
- Generate new ideas and products using CAD software and computerised modelling techniques
- Testing product designs using models, prototypes, 3D Printing or physical hands-on testing of models
- Manage multiple NPD projects
- Maintaining an awareness of current design trends and influences from other industries
- The ability to communicate effectively with factories and key suppliers
- Ensuring all new products meet technical, price and production parameters
- Conducting product and market research as required
- Producing product specifications and engineering drawings
Essential
- Educated in a relevant degree discipline such as Product Design, Industrial Design or Design Engineering.
- 2 -3 years of experience in a Product, Industrial or Design Engineering role, ideally in similar industry
- A good eye for detail
- Well-developed technical and creative skills
- Strong IT Skills Including Adobe Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator and CAD software
- Experienced and competent use of SolidWorks and KeyShot
- Experience with 3D Printing, Formlabs/Ultimaker
- Adapt quickly to the fast paced, multi-product environment.
- Liaise with other departments and work well in a team
- Have an interest and knowledge of the cycling and/or motorcycle industry
- A passion for cycling and other extreme sports
