Following 5 years of explosive growth the company is expanding fast into the European, Asian and North American markets focusing on its core categories of cycling, motorcycle and Athlete performance products.

About the role

The company is now looking to hire their first Product Category Manager. This exciting appointment will initially focus on driving performance improvement in an agreed category. The intended medium-term target is to rollout this category management approach across all product areas within the range.

They will succeed in the role by enabling us and our customers to drive growth through a shared category vision. They will be highly commercial, analytical and will be a thought leader both internally and externally, being the voice of the customer and end consumer.

As the business continues to grow there is a need for a dedicated product category manager. The key responsibilities of this role will be:

Key responsibilities

  • Own the category agenda across all routes to market
  • Drive tailored category development plans identifying category opportunities and optimising growth
  • Create and deliver insight led category customer strategies which address consumer needs, influence shopper behaviour & drive category growth
  • Analysing global trends to identify sales opportunities for current products in new markets
  • Understanding competitor sales and marketing activities and building plans to aggressively grow Muc-Off market share in the face of these competitors
  • Be a thought leader both internally and externally
  • Developing category strategy for your channels and product areas
  • Building category plans that will help drive a more profitable sales mix
  • Leading range reviews
  • Analysing data
  • Managing stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Providing recommendations to customers

What we’re looking for


  • Experience in FMCG - Category Management experience is essential
  • Strong relationship building and customer facing skills
  • Impactful and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with data and employing an analytical mindset
  • Knowledge of shopper missions, mindsets & journeys in categories and channels
  • Ability to manage & prioritise multiple customer and internal demands
  • Proven experience in influencing abilities and challenge thinking and decision making internally & externally
  • Demonstrable experience in ownership of projects
