The penultimate round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park delivered one of the most dramatic weekends of the year — and Muc-Off athlete Scott Redding was right at the heart of the action once again. The Hager PBM Ducati rider produced a stunning performance in Race 3, charging from the mid-pack to claim an incredible victory in front of a roaring crowd.
The Comeback Kid Fights Back...
Having joined the 2025 BSB season partway through, Redding arrived at Oulton Park with limited track time — and it showed early in the weekend. With changing conditions and little dry running, the former World Superbike racer and his Hager PBM Ducati team had to make setup calls on the fly.
Despite those challenges, Redding showed his trademark grit. After battling through the pack from the back of the grid in the first two races, he lined up seventh for the final showdown of the weekend — and from there, it was game on.
By lap six, Redding had reeled in the leading trio of Bradley Ray, Kyle Ryde, and Leon Haslam, joining a ten-rider freight train that was fighting tooth-and-nail around the Cheshire circuit. With blistering pace on the Hager Ducati, Redding was carving through the field, picking off rivals one by one.
The Winning Move
After several laps of relentless pressure, the front group began to shuffle for position. Haslam grabbed the lead, then Ryde hit back at Hizzys — but Redding was right there, waiting for his moment.
On lap fifteen, he made his move — a deep, confident dive down the inside at Lodge Corner to seize the lead. From there, it was a tense dash to the flag, with Ray, Haslam, and Stacey all diving for the line in one of the closest finishes of the season.
Redding held firm to take victory by just 0.462 seconds, claiming his fifth win of the season and his second at Oulton Park since returning to the championship.
“We made massive steps all weekend,” said Redding after the race. “The setup was tricky with the lack of dry time, but the team gave me a bike I could fight with. I just kept believing, kept pushing — and that last race was mega.”
A Statement Ride
Redding’s comeback win was a statement of intent. Having joined the series late, he’s wasted no time proving that he’s still one of the most complete and fearless riders on the grid. The result also moves him up to seventh in the championship standings with 237.5 points, showing just how competitive he’s been despite missing the early rounds.
Behind him, the battle for the title remains fierce — with Kyle Ryde holding onto the championship lead on 445 points, Bradley Ray closing in with 415, and Leon Haslam still mathematically in contention on 344. But at Oulton Park, it was all about Redding’s precision, pace, and power on the Hager PBM Ducati.
Next Stop: Brands Hatch Finale
With just one round remaining, the Bennetts British Superbike Championship heads to Brands Hatch for the grand finale. Redding will be looking to finish the season on a high — and if his Oulton Park heroics are anything to go by, fans can expect more fireworks from the Muc-Off-backed PBM Ducati rider.
