It’s been one heck of a journey with INEOS Grenadiers. What started as a partnership in 2013 to supply the team with cleaning products, later developed into us working together to produce our most successful bike chain lube ever – Hydrodynamic.

It all began in 2013, when our lab boffins worked alongside Team Sky (now INEOS) to produce the Hydro Lube that would break new ground for Muc-Off and the team. The lube was baptised at the Tour de France, the most coveted cycling road race in the world. The Tour saw the worst weather conditions experienced in years, but thanks to its hydrodynamic properties, it passed the test with flying colours, cementing itself as a staple of Team Sky’s performance arsenal.

Fast forward to 2021 and we’re up to an incredible ten Grand Tour titles and counting. That’s six wins at the Tour De France, one Vuelta Espana win and three wins at the Giro d’Italia. The legends in the cleats at the time: Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas, Egan Bernal and Tao Geoghegan-Hart – an enviable list of hall-of-famers using our iconic Muc-Off products.

Now, hitting double figure wins is cool and all, but we see this as just the beginning for the Muc-Off x INEOS Grenadiers partnership. Once again, we’ve been busy working on a ludicrous new product that is going to change the game. Developed over three years by our incredible in-house Research and Development Team here in Poole, we’ve managed to cook up something quite special. The team have been using this new product for the last 18 months, providing some incredible real-world testing data from the highest reaches of the sport – and it’s been working! During that time, they’ve picked up two Giro wins with Tao Geoghegan-Hart in 2020 and Egan Bernal in 2021.

It’s testament to the lengths we go to as a brand to support our teams in winning the world’s biggest races. We’ve expanded our R&D team with PhD certified chemists, and invested millions in an industry-leading facility, complete with tribometers, chain link dynos, a contour white light interferometer, 3D printers and more. We’ve been the driving force behind this top team for years, delivering consistent and exceptional results. We’ve worked night and day to get products delivered to the team, providing data and insight to ensure they’re able to squeeze every marginal gain out of our range. We don’t plan on slowing down any time soon, and thankfully, neither do the team!

It’ll soon be time to announce our top-secret new product to the world, so keep an eye out on our social media channels over the next few weeks. Then get ready to strap in and feel the speed, it’s going to be one hell of a ride!
