POOLE 19.03.2021, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Muc-Off, the leading motorcycle cleaning brand, announces it will be extending support to Sky VR46 Avintia rider Luca Marini as they graduate into the MotoGP class for 2021.

Marini finished runner up in the highly competitive Moto2 class in 2020 and is the third rider from the VR46 Riders Academy to progress to MotoGP for 2021. Uniquely, Marini will be the first Sky Racing Team VR46 MotoGP class rider in a Sky VR46 team.

It has been amazing to watch the progression of both Luca Marini and the Sky Racing Team VR46 since our partnership began in 2018, to be able to extend our support to them as they look to progress into the MotoGP class is a no brainer! We are excited to see what the team can do in 2021! – Alex Trimnell CEO at Muc-Off

2021 will be Marini’s eighth world championship season. The 23-year-old Italian, who is also the maternal half-brother of MotoGP sensation: Valentino Rossi, made his racing debut at just 16 years old in 2013 as a wildcard in Moto3. Fast forward seven years and Marini has gone from strength to strength and has refined his racing skills since joining the Sky Racing Team VR46 team in 2018.

Muc-Off will be continuing to support the team with their efforts in the Moto2 championships with talented riders Marco Bezzecchi and Celestino Vietti Ramus. Muc-Off will also be providing the team with their high-performance and innovative products across the brand’s Clean moto-specific range.

The team will head to Qatar to prepare for the official test on the 6th March 2021, before the first round of MotoGP gets underway at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar on 28th March 2021.
