Three races. A 53-point gap. One last weekend to settle the 2026 British Superbike Championship.
This Friday to Sunday, 16–18 October, the series heads to the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit for its Showdown finale.
Muc-Off sponsored Scott Redding & PBM Racing arrive with the title still a possibility after winning the race three at Donington Park. Championship leader Kyle Ryde retired from that race with a technical problem, cutting his advantage from 78 points to 53.
THE RULES EXPLAINED?
The points rise again for the finale: a win is worth 35, second place 30 and third 27.
There’s one BSB race on Saturday, followed by Sunday’s sprint and final feature race.
Here’s how many points each finishing position is worth in every race at the Brands Hatch finale:
| Position | Points | Position | Points | Position | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 35 | 6th | 20 | 11th | 10 |
| 2nd | 30 | 7th | 18 | 12th | 8 |
| 3rd | 27 | 8th | 16 | 13th | 6 |
| 4th | 24 | 9th | 14 | 14th | 4 |
| 5th | 22 | 10th | 12 | 15th | 2 |
With three races Scott needs to outscore Kyle by at least 54 points to finish ahead of him outright.
There are 105 points available across the three races. How many Kyle needs depends on what Scott scores.
HOW CAN SCOTT WIN?
If Scott wins all three, Kyle would still need 53 points from his other two races. Two third-place finishes would give Kyle 54 points and keep him ahead. Two fourth-place finishes would give him 48, handing Scott the title.

Even a perfect weekend would leave Scott watching Kyle’s results. Three wins would take Scott to 561 points; if Kyle finished seventh in all three races, he would still reach 563. Three eighth-place finishes for Kyle, though, would leave Scott champion on 561 to 557.
