POOLE, 20 AUGUST 2026, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Muc-Off, the global leader in bicycle care, and pro downhill MTB race team COMMENCAL//MUC-OFF have collaborated on specially designed bikes, helmets and race kit for the Les Gets round of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series (20–23 August).
A constellation-style pattern runs across every element, connecting the bikes, helmets and kit through one distinctive design. The concept reflects how performance is found at the highest level of downhill racing: by looking beyond the obvious, recognising the details and understanding how they combine to make a meaningful difference.
Since Muc-Off became title partner in 2020, its in-house R&D team has worked closely with the team’s riders and mechanics, using feedback from training and racing to refine products, test new ideas and identify opportunities to maximise performance. Across multiple seasons, that continuous cycle of testing, learning and development has helped shape products around the demands of competing at World Cup level, proving them in some of the toughest conditions in racing.

"Downhill racing comes down to really fine margins, so it’s often the small things that make the difference. We’re always listening to the riders and mechanics, looking at the data and working with our R&D team to see where we can improve things. That’s what this design is about. Lots of individual points coming together to create the bigger picture, in the same way that feedback, testing and product development all contribute to performance on track.” Alex Trimnell, Muc-Off CEO, owner and founding family member.

The partnership has delivered sustained success across elite and junior racing, with World Cup wins, overall titles and podium finishes across multiple seasons. That form has continued in 2026, with Amaury Pierron securing multiple podiums and holding the Elite Men’s downhill overall lead through the opening six rounds.

“The design looks really strong across the bikes, helmets and kit, and it gives us something completely different for Les Gets. Our relationship with Muc-Off goes well beyond sponsorship. They listen to what the riders and mechanics are telling them, take that feedback away and use it to keep developing the product ranges. It’s a very natural way of working together, so the thinking behind the design fits the partnership really well.” Thibaut Ruffin, Team Owner.

Fans can see the one-off bikes, helmets and race kit in action throughout the Les Gets race weekend.

About Muc-Off

Back in 1991 Rex and Marilyn Trimnell got things started with X-Lite UK. After designing and manufacturing the world’s first twin crown bicycle fork, Rex created a perfectly pink spray to clean his kit. To cut a long story short, Rex’s cleaner was the best thing since sliced bread, and it wasn’t long before word got out and Muc-Off was born.

Fast-forward to now and Muc-Off is the go-to brand for top riders.

And, in case you haven’t noticed, we do a bit more than our original pink cleaner these days. See the full range at: www.muc-off.com
