Luca Thurlow – Ready to Send It!

Meet Luca Thurlow, one of the fastest rising stars in the downhill MTB scene now riding solo for 2025. This British shredder started ripping up tracks at just seven years old, cutting his teeth on BMX before making the switch to mountain biking—and he hasn’t looked back since.

Racing Pedigree & Achievements

Luca isn’t just another fast kid on the block; he’s been making serious waves on the international stage. Competing in the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Junior Series, he sent it hard against the best young talent in the world, racing across legendary venues in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Andorra, the USA, and Canada.

Key Highlights:

  • 4th Place – Mont-Sainte-Anne World Cup (Canada, 2023) 🏆
  • Top 10 Finishes in Multiple World Cup Rounds
  • Consistently Dominated the UK National Series

And he’s just getting started. With an aggressive off-season training plan, Luca is gearing up for even bigger things as he makes the move towards the elite ranks.

Muc-Off Young Guns & The Journey Ahead

Backed by the Muc-Off Young Guns program, Luca had the support to push his limits—sick gear, dialed-in maintenance, and the mindset to take on anything. His dedication to precision riding and progression is what sets him apart, and with each race, he’s proving he’s got the grit to be a future World Cup podium threat.

For 2025, Luca Thurlow is stepping up as a privateer, taking on the World Cup circuit with the same determination and drive that’s defined his racing so far. While going solo comes with its challenges, he’s got the backing of Muc-Off to help keep his setup dialed and race-ready. With a focus on progression and consistency, Luca is looking to build on his strong results from last season and prove that privateers can mix it with the best.

Beyond Racing: Coaching & Inspiring the Next Gen

When he’s not racing, Luca is passing on the stoke, coaching at Surrey Hills, helping riders fine-tune their skills. Seeing others send it and progress fuels his own passion for the sport, making him not just a racer, but a true ambassador for MTB.

What’s Next?

With a killer work ethic and a fire to go even faster, Luca’s gearing up for his biggest season yet. Expect more speed, more style, and some serious results as he takes on the world's gnarliest tracks.
