The WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series rolls straight from the mud and mayhem of Leogang to the iconic alpine slopes of Lenzerheide this weekend, with overall World Cup leads, momentum and valuable points all on the line.

Nestled in Switzerland’s Bike Kingdom beneath the Lenzerhorn mountain, Lenzerheide has become one of the most recognisable stops on the World Cup calendar. Fast, technical and unforgiving, the venue regularly delivers some of the closest racing of the season. With changeable mountain weather always a factor in the Alps, riders and mechanics will need to be ready for anything, from dry, dusty speed to slippery, high-consequence conditions.

Leading the charge for Muc-Off is COMMENCAL/MUC-OFF by Riding Addiction, who arrive in Switzerland firmly in the hunt for both race wins and overall titles. Amaury Pierron continues to hold the Men’s Elite Downhill overall lead after another strong weekend in Leogang, where he finished second by less than two tenths of a second. Teammates Loris Vergier and Max Alran also showed impressive pace, adding further depth to one of the strongest downhill squads in the paddock.

In the women’s competition, Vali Höll arrives at Lenzerheide in sensational form. The Austrian claimed victory in Leogang last weekend, her third consecutive World Cup win of the season, and retains the overall series lead heading into Switzerland. Racing just across the border from home, she’ll undoubtedly start the weekend as one of the favourites to stand on the top step once again.

Muc-Off-supported teams will be represented throughout the downhill field. Specialized Gravity continue to look increasingly competitive heading into Switzerland, while COMMENCAL SCHWALBE by Les Orres arrive with plenty of momentum of their own. With riders including Vali Höll, Lisa Baumann, Antoine Pierron and Omri Danon, the French squad has established itself as one of the most exciting teams on the World Cup circuit and will be looking to add more valuable points in Lenzerheide.

Cross-country racing also returns to Lenzerheide this weekend, with both Short Track and Olympic Cross-country on the schedule. Muc-Off-backed Specialized Factory Racing and BIXS Performance Race Team will be looking to make their mark on one of the sport’s most demanding and prestigious courses.

With overall leaders to defend, race winners carrying momentum and a packed programme featuring both downhill and cross-country action, all the ingredients are in place for another unforgettable weekend of mountain bike racing.

We’ll be following every run, every lap and every podium from Bike Kingdom Lenzerheide.
