The Bennetts British Superbike Championship returned to the legendary TT Circuit Assen, and Muc-Off’s own Scott Redding lit it up with two wins from three. From wet-weather mastery to a final-lap dogfight, the 2019 champ proved he’s back in business.
Race 1: Wet Weather Masterclass
Redding came out swinging on Saturday, blasting his Hager PBM Ducati into the lead before the heavens opened. With conditions treacherous, the race was red-flagged after six laps, but Scott had already stamped his authority – taking victory by nearly two seconds. That win also delivered PBM Ducati’s 150th BSB triumph. Not a bad way to start the weekend.
Race 2: Tough in the Treacle
Sunday’s opener flipped the script. Christian Iddon nailed his first win of 2025 as the rain returned, while Redding battled grip issues and slid down the order. He clawed back a single point in P15 – a tough blow after his opening-day glory.
Race 3: Last-Lap Heroics
With dry conditions at last, Race 3 was a thriller. Redding joined Kyle Ryde and Leon Haslam in an epic scrap at the front. With two laps to go, he lunged past Ryde, only for Haslam to snatch it back as the final lap began. But Scott wasn’t done – a daring dive into Turn 1 sealed the deal. He held off both rivals by a whisker to claim his second win of the weekend, just half a second clear.
Eyes on Oulton
The championship fight now heads to Oulton Park with Ryde leading by 31 points over Bradley Ray. Redding might be out of title contention, but with form like this, he’s out to spoil the party. The comeback is real – and we’re here for it.
Stay filthy. Stay fast. The Comeback Kid is on the charge.
