Week 2 of Le Tour De France is now complete and things have taken a fairly unexpected turn. Between the windy stages on the west coast of France and the return to the mountains this weekend, it sure has been an entertaining race this year.
It was all going perfectly to plan for Egan Bernal until the INEOS Grenadiers hit a snag on Stage 15 and the 2019 Tour De France winner lost some valuable time on the GC.
On the other hand, our Bahrain McLaren GC contender Mikel Landa has had his best week yet. After a couple of mechanicals in Week 1, Mikel and the team have worked hard on delivering consistent finishes and he now sits in 7th on the GC.
