Mugello never disappoints.
Flat-out speeds, elbows-out racing, and another big weekend for Jorge Martín as he continued his charge in the 2026 MotoGP title fight.
The action started before the racing even got underway, with Martín blasting his Aprilia RS-GP to a new all-time MotoGP top speed record of 368.6km/h (229mph) during practice. A reminder, if one was needed, of just how rapid the Aprilia package is right now.
Saturday's Sprint saw Jorge battle his way to second place, finishing behind Trackhouse Aprilia rider Raul Fernandez to make it an Aprilia one-two. The result added valuable points to his championship tally and set the tone for the rest of the weekend.

Then came Sunday's main event.
Martín was straight in the fight from lights out, going wheel-to-wheel with Francesco Bagnaia before moving into second place and chasing down team-mate Marco Bezzecchi. While the Italian had the edge around his home circuit, Martín delivered another composed ride to secure his second podium of the weekend.

"Marco is faster than us today," admitted Martín after the race. "But he's helping me improve and pushing me to be a better rider."
That attitude is exactly why Martín remains one of the toughest riders to beat on the grid.
With a Sprint podium, a Grand Prix podium, and a new MotoGP top speed record in the bag, Mugello was another strong weekend for the #89. Add in Aprilia's dominant one-two finish on Sunday, and the Italian manufacturer heads to the next round full of confidence.
Next stop: Hungary.
