CAN ANYONE STOP JEFFREY HERLINGS RIGHT NOW?
Muc-Off athlete Jeffrey Herlings delivered another masterclass at the MXGP of the Netherlands, charging to a fourth straight 1-1-1 result and his 122nd career Grand Prix victory.
In front of more than 30,000 fans at Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden, “The Bullet” was untouchable once again. The Dutchman conquered two hard-fought motos on home soil, extending his incredible winning streak and taking another massive step towards the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship title.
SAND, SPEED AND SERIOUS PRESSURE
Moto one was no easy ride.
Herlings was pushed hard throughout the opening moto by fellow Dutch sand specialist Kay de Wolf. After settling into second, Jeffrey piled on the pressure before making his move through the fast wave section on lap 14.
Even then, the drama wasn’t finished. With just four corners remaining, a rock became lodged in Jeffrey’s rear brake lever and locked the rear wheel. A quick-thinking kick cleared the problem, allowing him to hold on and take the win by 3.7 seconds.
Moto two brought another head-to-head battle—but this time Jeffrey grabbed the holeshot and took control from the front. De Wolf mounted a late charge, closing the gap to less than two seconds before crashing in the closing stages. Jeffrey kept it pinned and brought it home to complete the perfect weekend.
THE BULLET KEEPS FIRING
The result marks Jeffrey’s fourth consecutive perfect Grand Prix weekend, his 14th straight individual race victory and an astonishing 17th GP win from 19 appearances in the Netherlands.
It also extends his championship advantage to 143 points with three rounds remaining. With just 120 points available after the next round in Türkiye, Jeffrey now has the opportunity to seal the world title at Afyonkarahisar.
“It was a really good GP,” said Herlings. “Racing at home is special, but it is not easy. The team did a great, great job. We made a big step with the bike and this weekend was really perfect.”
Next stop: Türkiye. Let’s finish the job.
