Come take a peek at our Team INEOS swag from Grand Tours past! We've got a pretty tidy collection of signed jerseys and a pretty special set of awards, let's take a closer look...
2015
Team Sky Jersey signed by Chris Froome
Despite starting the year off with a bad chest infection which meant him missing some of the season openers like Tirreno-Adriatico and crashing at La Fleche Wallonne, Chris Froome went on to win Le Tour GC for the second time (see below). He also received an OBE from the Queen for his services to cycling.
Yellow Jersey signed by Chris Froome
The 102nd Tour de France was the second Chris Froome GC win making him the first Briton to win the Tour twice. He also won the Mountains classification and got a stage win in the high mountains. He managed to hold on to the yellow jersey for most of the race - 16 of the 21 stages!
National Instruments Award
We also bagged ourselves not one, but two awards for our work with Team Sky to develop the Hydrodynamic Lube. The team asked us to develop a lubrication which was versatile and durable over long stages with changeable weather conditions. To enable us to effectively test our development lubes and prove the results to the team and our customers, we became the first bicycle chain lube manufacturer to design and create our own Chain Lube Efficiency Dynamometer. For this, we were awarded a Physical Test & Measurement and Application of the Year from at the NI Engineering Impact Awards.
2016
Team Sky Jersey signed at Training camp
We got our first invite out to a Team Sky training camp in Mallorca where we spent a few days with the riders and we got a signed jersey to prove it! This one has Elia Viviani, Michał Kwiatkowski and Chris Froome. The season was one of the team's most successful with their first monument win at Liège–Bastogne–Liège with Wout Poels and another TDF win with Chris Froome (see below).
Yellow Jersey signed by Chris Froome
Another year, another Chris Froome Tour de France win! He later went on to get second at La Vuelta and a Bronze medal at the Olympics.
2017
Team Jersey signed at Training Camp
We were again invited to join one of the Team Sky training camps in Mallorca where we got a jersey signed by the riders present including Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas, Jon Dibben, and Diego Rosa. This was the year of the Grand Tour double where Froome won both Le Tour de France and La Vuelta. Kwiatkowski took the win at Strade Bianche and Milan-San Remo, Thomas took the GC at Tirenno-Adriatico and Sergio Henao took the win at Paris-Nice.
Will this year deliver another yellow jersey for Team INEOS? Only time will tell... Whatever happens, we can't wait for our next opportunity to get our hands on such legendary cycling memorabilia.
