HERLINGS GOES 1-1 THREE ROUNDS IN A ROW!

Three GPs. Six race wins. Total domination.

Jeffrey Herlings is on an absolute tear.

After sweeping both motos in Great Britain, Czech Republic, and now Belgium, The Bullet has made it three perfect 1-1 weekends on the bounce, extending his MXGP Championship lead and bringing up an incredible 120th career Grand Prix victory.

Round 14 of the FIM Motocross World Championship saw over 40,000 fans descend on the brutal Lommel sand circuit, where soaring temperatures and deep, energy-sapping conditions pushed every rider to their limits.

For Herlings and the Honda HRC Petronas squad, it was another weekend of complete domination.

After topping every session throughout the weekend, Jeffrey grabbed the Fox Holeshot in Race 1 and never looked back. Riding with the effortless speed and precision that has made him one of the greatest sand riders of all time, he crossed the line over 45 seconds clear of the chasing pack.

If anyone was hoping Race 2 would tell a different story, they were left disappointed.

Another lightning-fast start saw Herlings hit the front almost immediately before building yet another commanding lead. Despite nursing a clutch issue during the closing stages and carefully managing the bike to the finish, The Bullet still controlled the race from start to finish, securing his second consecutive perfect 1-1 weekend and stretching his championship advantage to 104 points with five rounds remaining.

Speaking after the race, Herlings said:

"It was a great weekend, just like last week we were topping every session. Two good starts today, I led every lap. Race 1 especially was really enjoyable. I had a small issue in Race 2 so I had to manage my pace, but we kept the gap to around 15 seconds and I'm just happy to bring it home. That's 60 points, massive for the championship."

The victory also marked a record fifth MXGP win at Lommel and an astonishing 120th career Grand Prix victory, further cementing Herlings' place among the sport's all-time greats.

With five rounds still to race, Jeffrey holds a commanding 104-point advantage at the top of the standings. The championship now heads to Sweden before returning to the sand later in the season, where The Bullet will be looking to continue his incredible run of form.
