This past weekend, the spotlight shone bright as Marc Márquez clinched his 7th World Title — a moment that will go down in MotoGP history. But for us, our focus was firmly on our guy, Jorge Martín, who suffered a brutal spill in Saturday’s Sprint at Motegi.
The opening lap turned chaotic when the 2024 champ was caught in a Turn 1 pile-up. Starting from P17 and eager to claw back positions, Jorge cut to the inside line. But a brush with Fermín Aldeguer unsettled the bike, sending him off balance and causing him to lose the front. He careered straight into teammate Marco Bezzecchi — both riders crashing out heavily in the gravel.
It was a nasty fall that left Jorge clutching his arm as medics rushed in. X-rays at the circuit medical center confirmed he’d suffered a displaced fracture of his right collarbone, ruling him out of Sunday’s Grand Prix. He was airlifted to a local hospital for further scans before plans were made to get him home for treatment. On Monday, he will undergo surgery at Barcelona’s Hospital Dexeus, where MotoGP specialist Dr. Xavier Mir will plate the broken collarbone.
While no recovery timeline has been confirmed yet, Jorge has proven time and again that he’s as tough as they come. This is another hurdle in a challenging season, but if there’s one thing we know about him, it’s that he always bounces back stronger.
As proud sponsors, we don’t just back Jorge on track — we stand shoulder to shoulder with him through every challenge. He’s more than just a rider; he’s part of the Muc-Off family, and we’ll be right there with him every step of the way on the road to recovery.
Get well soon, champ!
