As the business continues to grow at a fast pace there is now a need for a Social Media Manager who will report into the Senior Marketing Communications Manager at our Head Office in Poole, Dorset.
About the role
This role manages all social media channels across bicycle and powersports, to drive growth in terms of reach, and engagement with the brand. It also includes researching and analysing social media trends, as well as reporting on key measures such as revenue and web visitor data, to improve social media and brand presence and campaign efficacy. Works with various departments internally to promote overall brand through all social media channels.
With a keen eye on emerging trends and best practise, plans and delivers compelling campaigns across existing and emerging platforms. This role travers’s social strategy, delivery and evaluation, and requires a good knowledge of both cycling and powersports arenas, and the techniques required to create a truly world class approach to social media. This role interfaces heavily with the broader marketing team, content, creative, and leadership teams, so an ability to have positive impacts and build strong and credible relationships is key. As a spokesperson of the brand, this role needs the ability to deliver on brand messaging and content, consistent with the brand DNA and tone of voice.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all Muc-Off Social Media channels
- Develop and deliver channel-specific content strategies
- Deliver the brand Tone of Voice across all owned channels
- Write clear, concise design and creative briefs.
- Create and schedule social media posts
- Contribute to the overall marketing strategy to help drive website traffic and increase conversions
- Monitor competitor social activity and regularly report on key insights
- Keep up to date with social media viral trends, technological/algorithmic updates and provide recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to the overarching content strategy
- Actively monitoring and responding to comments and messages across all channels.
- Provide monthly KPI report for key stakeholders across the organisation
- Activate global events through social channels, with occasional event attendance required to capture contact and run takeovers
- Provide long term planning and scheduling aligned to the bicycle marketing plan
- Liaise with external agencies, brand partners and distributors/retailers on social activation topics

A social evangelist with a keen love of cycling, powersports, or anything that has got wheels (shopping trolleys don’t count). Muc-Off is a team sport and welcomes players, not spectators so if you like rolling your sleeves up, come on down. We need a fluent brand linguist as you will be delivering our particular tone of voice every day of the week. Super organised with a clear and planned approach to life, you will be able to create order in a high-paced environment where the finger always needs to be on the pulse. Must-haves
- Proven experience of developing and implementing effective social campaigns
- Good knowledge and understanding of the bicycle and powersports industries on a global basis
- Demonstrable strong understanding of emerging shape of social media

Desirable
- A degree in Marketing / Communications and/or a CIM Diploma
- Excellence in project management and an eye for putting the right process in place to get the job done
- Evidence of working in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment
- Experience of budget management
- Full motorcycle license
