Want your bike to look mint and run sweet every ride? This pro routine takes you from filthy to sparkling in just a few minutes. It’s quick, kind on components, and easy to repeat—little and often FTW!
At a glance
- Rinse or wipe down, foam up, agitate, rinse, dry.
- Add a light coating of protection, then lube for the conditions.
Kit we rate (pick what you need)
- Nano Tech Bike Cleaner
- Drivetrain Cleaner & X-3 Dirty Chain Machine
- Premium Brush Kit & Microfibre Cloths
- Bicycle Pressure Washer
- Bike Protect
- Bio Dry Lube / Bio Wet Lube
- Disc Brake Covers (handy for the protection step)
Step 1 — Clean
- Rinse: Use the pressure washer’s fan lance or a gentle hose to knock off loose crud. Keep the spray wide and moving.
- Foam: Cover frame and components with Nano Tech Bike Cleaner. Let it dwell.
- Agitate: Work from top to bottom with the Premium Brush Kit—use the correct brush for each part of the bike.
- Drivetrain deep-clean: Fill the X-3 Dirty Chain Machine with Drivetrain Cleaner and run the chain through until it’s sparkling.
- Rinse again and dry: Sheet water off with the fan lance or use Microfibre Cloths.

Step 2 — Protect
Protection keeps corrosion at bay and makes the next wash faster.
- Mask brakes: Fit Disc Brake Covers to guard against overspray.
- Mist Bike Protect: Light coat on frame and components (avoiding braking surfaces), then buff. Bike Protect leaves a protective layer that helps repel grime.
- Remove covers before you roll.

Step 3 — Lube (match to the conditions)
Clean chain? Now choose the right lube for the ride.
- Dry & dusty: Bio Dry Lube for a clean-running chain.
- Wet & gritty: Bio Wet Lube for staying power.
-
More performance options (pick your level):
- C3 Dry Ceramic Lube / C3 Wet Ceramic Lube
- eBike Dry Weather Chain Lube / eBike Wet Weather Chain Lube
- Hydrodynamic Lube (all-weather, long-distance performance)
- Ludicrous Lube (race-day fastest)
How to apply: Back-pedal, drip onto the rollers, run through all gears, wipe off the excess. Less mess, more speed.

Pro tips
- Work top-down. Mud falls—don’t chase it back up.
- Use different brushes for drivetrain and frame to avoid greasy streaks.
- Sweat salts are corrosion magnets—wipe the cockpit and bolts after indoor or hot rides.
- If brakes chirp after protection, clean rotors/pads with Disc Brake Cleaner.
