Firstly, why clean a bike?

Simply put, a clean bike rides better, faster and lasts longer. By cleaning your bike regularly, you'll reduce the likelihood of mechanicals and needing to buy replacement parts - saving you money in the long run!

Keeping your road bike showroom fresh and running smoothly can be a real challenge. That's why we developed our simple 3-step bike care programme - Clean, Protect & Lube.

How often should you clean your road bike?

It really depends on how often you ride and ultimately how dirty and greasy your road bike gets. Cleaning your road bike regularly will help to extend the lifespan of the bike's expensive componentry and moving parts. Typically, for road bikes, we'd recommend thoroughly degreasing and 're-greasing' your drivetrain every 100 miles.
